Erick is a FCC licensed HAM radio operator, past licensed electrician, earned a degree in electronics/computers, and is currently learning the art of studio music recording from a past Muscle Shoals and CBS Records recording engineer.

‚ÄčTammila was raised in Manitou Springs and has lived here all her life. She has been the Chairperson for the Manitou Springs Historic Preservation Society and is now currently serving as a board member. Tammila also hosts all the remote and in studio interviews for Pika Radio.

‚ÄčLoren Hellem, a Colorado Springs native, studied at the University of Northern Colorado. Loren spent two years as a personality with UNC Student Radio. During his time on the night shift, he conducted numerous interviews with various professors from around campus. These interviews covered a wide range of topicsfrom social issues to abstract ideas of existenceand the natureof the universe itself. He is currently living in Fujiyoshida-shi, YamanashiJapan the sister city of Colorado Springs, with his wife. They are both teaching English. Loren reports for Pika Radio in a series titled "Outside  Our Village" about what is happening around the world. Loren is also doing voiceover work for some video games.

Pika Radio was created out of the necessity that Manitou Springs Colorado had no radio station of its own. Acquiring a broadcast license has become financially an impossibility for the small business owner..... So Erick and Tammila Wright decided in January of 2013 to build a locally owned and operated radio station to support the local community, to promote new indie music, and to make advertising to the community affordable for the local business owner. We are a multiple platform show located at the foot of Pikes Peak gateway to the Rocky Mountains in Historic Manitou Springs.  We support our local independent musicians, artists, and the old style mom and pop shops!
